Charlotte Mills Brides - Charlotte & Simon

Charlotte Mills Brides - Charlotte & Simon

'We wanted to have a winter wedding and thought Valentines weekend would be a good time so we chose 13.02.2016.'

Charlotte and Simon chose to have a traditional church service in the heart of Didsbury Village followed by a urban wedding reception in the heart of Media City in Manchester. They hired out the fabulous On the 7th Private Members Club overlooking Media City and The Quays.

The theme was black tie, as Charlotte wanted something quite simple but elegant with a modern twist. Her dress was by Veromia (Cheshire Wedding company). Charlotte said: 'I felt it resembled SJP in Sex and the City (Vivienne Westwood) but what was important to me was that I felt like a bride and sure did in this dress and the train and long veil and my 1950's hair is wanted along with my dark red lip. I felt it made the right statement.'

When it came to choosing the shoes, Charlotte felt this was a important choice as she is an absolute shoe lover and the right ones were obviously the key to her Perfect Wedding. 'When I started to look for my shoes I felt there was nothing that suited my modern but bridal style however when I came across Charlotte Mills I felt the Bianca shoes were definitely the right choice for me! I loved the caged style of the shoe along with the subtle bridal touches like love hearts on the laces.'

Flowers were designed by Amanda Delaney - talented, independent florist and interior designer from the Lake District.
