Lauren & James Steel, April 2018 Wedding

Huge Congrats to Lauren & James, the new Mr & Mrs Steel. A picture perfect wedding day, wishing you the happiest of futures for your new life as a married couple.

The Dress:
Marc le Carr ‘Kelly’. A beautiful 1950s style ivory lace and appliqué tea length gown with a sweetheart neckline and tulle illusion detail with appliqué at the shoulder and neck and lots of full layers of tulle perfect for twirling and dancing.

The Flowers: A vintage style bouquet with soft pastel hues, flowers included lisianthius, memory lane roses , baby’s breath and delphiniums, tied together with lace. The button holes and flowers for the tables complemented my bouquet and our bridesmaids each had a bouquet and floral combs in their hair. Our flower girl had a pretty floral crown and wand to match . Our florist was Floral Boutique Florist a small flower shop just outside of Nottingham. I Do Crew: I had 3 bridesmaids, my sister Rosie , my sister in law Rebecca and my niece Jasmine. All 3 ladies wore dresses from Coast in a soft pink colour with off the shoulder and bow back detailing. I purchased the dresses in 2 styles , Rebecca opted for a stunning fitted number and Rosie and Jasmine had an equally gorgeous fit and flare style . The bridesmaids had matching updos with fresh flower combs .

The Venue: Our bridal preparations began at the amazing The Coach House B&B and the ceremony and reception took place at the incredible The Farmhouse at Mackworth, both located in Derby. (http://coachhousederby.com/). (http://thefarmhouseatmackworth.com/).

The Cake/Catering: Our cake was a delicious 4 tier semi-naked cake adorned with pastel spring flowers created by the talented Sophie at Red Robin Cakery . For our wedding breakfast we had a traditional afternoon tea with scones, jam, cream, sandwiches, pastries and cakes all served on vintage china with pots of tea and glasses of prosecco for toasting , it was amazing ! After our wedding breakfast Florence the vintage 1966 restored VW ice cream van arrived to serve delicious ice cream cones to our guests. For our evening reception we had a selection of some of our favourite food including burgers , fish and chips and brownies!  (https://www.redrobincakery.co.uk/). (http://www.pollys-parlour.co.uk/

The Photographer: Our photographer was the very talented Anna Dunleavy from Pear & Bear photography . Anna created the most amazing natural photos and really captured the essence of our day , we adore all of our wedding photos and would recommend Anna to everyone. THE SHOES:
I chose the style ‘Andrea’ in Ivory with a gold glitter heel and heart detailing.

Why I chose them: I fell in love with them instantly and knew I just had to have them . They are such a unique design and the peep toe coupled with the gold glitter heel and heart detailing looked incredible and they looked exquisite with my tea length gown , I loved how they made me feel.

How I would wear them again: I will definitely be wearing my shoes again, hopefully with a nice midi dress or full circle skirt on a date with my new husband

Any Advice: My advice for other brides to be would be to make sure you and your partner plan the wedding both of  you have always dreamt of and have fun, it’s your day, do it your way !
