We caught up with Amy to hear all about her magical wedding day, from walking down the aisle to dancing the night away in her Charlotte Mills heels.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL

After more than eight years together, he proposed during a vacation in the Maldives, going down on one knee on the beach. It was simple, genuine and incredibly emotional for both of us. A beautiful and unforgettable moment.

WHERE DID YOU GET MARRIED

We got married in the heart of Stockholm, in a beautiful church surrounded by our closest family and friends. Afterwards, we celebrated with a dinner and wedding party at Grand Hôtel, overlooking the beautiful city of Stockholm.

WHAT INSPIRED YOUR WEDDING STYLE

We wanted our wedding to have a majestic and grand feeling, combining elegance and luxury with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were very intentional with every choice, from the overall setting to the smallest details.

WHICH CHARLOTTE MILLS SHOES DID YOU CHOOSE?

I chose the Olivia Ivory. I loved how elegant and timeless they were, while still having a personal and unique touch. They also ended up matching perfectly with my veil. Together they created such a magical and special detail to my bridal look.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE MOMENT OF THE DAY?

Without a doubt, it was the ceremony in the church. Standing there and holding hands with the love of my life as we became husband and wife. A moment filled with love, excitement and pure happiness.

WHAT DID HAVING YOUR HIDDEN SILVER SIXPENCE MEAN TO YOU?

I love wedding traditions, so I was determined to include every part of the poem, including the often-forgotten silver sixpence which is meant to bring luck, prosperity and happiness in marriage. I do believe these things will somehow come your way - not because of the poem itself, but because the extra thought and effort you put into including it for your wedding day somehow reflect the love and dedication you also bring into your marriage.

DID YOUR SHOES MAKE IT FROM THE AISLE TO THE DANCE FLOOR?

Yes, they certainly did! I wasn’t sure at first whether to go for the high heels, but I’m so happy I did. They were not only beautiful, but incredibly comfortable too.

WHAT'S ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'D GIVE ANOTHER BRIDE?

Try not to worry about everything being perfect. Once the day arrives, be present, take it all in and enjoy every moment with the people you love. Those are the moments you will remember.

IF YOU COULD RELIVE ONE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING DAY, WHICH WOULD IT BE?

Walking down the aisle. It was a moment I had dreamed of my whole life, and to finally experience it felt truly surreal. Entering the church and seeing all our loved ones, with the love of my life waiting for me at the end of the aisle. A moment I will never forget.
