Marketing Manager

 

The role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to take charge of the overarching strategy ensuring it’s aligned with the brand vision & own the day-to-day marketing efforts for Charlotte Mills. The successful candidates will be crucial in driving growth, brand awareness and overall market presence. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Creative Director, Managing Director and external agencies to build and execute marketing plans that support our commercial goals. This role requires someone proactive, hands-on, and commercially minded, capable of turning strategies into action.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategy (annual and quarterly) to drive business growth.
  • Lead the execution of marketing campaigns across all brand channels
  • Manage Marketing Assistant to ensure day-to-day marketing activities align with the overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with the internal team and external agencies to deliver impactful digital marketing campaigns.
  • Analyse and report on marketing performance, using insights to optimise future campaigns and activities
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and marketing materials.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing collateral
  • Manage relationships with external agencies to maximise return on investment (ROI).
  • Collaborate with internal team and external agencies to align on marketing spend, ensuring alignment with sales targets.
  • Identify and present new strategic opportunities that meet Charlotte Mills business objectives 

 

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in marketing strategy creation & management, including planning, execution, and performance analysis.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Expertise in lead generation and developing strategies for different market segments.
  • Experience in budget management, ensuring cost-effective allocation of marketing resources.
  • Strong analytical mindset, commercial awareness and the ability to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
  • Ability to manage relationships with external agencies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and improve campaign performance.
  • Understanding of marketing funnels, attribution, and performance metrics.

 

Key Benchmarks:

  • Financial Performance:
    • Annual revenue growth rate.
    • Profit margin improvement over time.
    • Return on investment (ROI) on key marketing initiatives.
  • Market Share and Growth:
    • Increase in market share within targeted markets or segments.
    • Expansion into new markets or geographic regions.
    • Growth in customer base or customer acquisition rate.
    • Decrease in customer complaints or service issues.
  • Strategic Initiatives:
    • Successful execution and achievement of milestones for key strategic initiatives developed by the Managing Director & Creative Director.
    • Launch of new products, services, or business lines.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty:
    • Net Promoter Score (NPS) or customer satisfaction ratings.
    • Repeat purchase rate or customer retention metrics.
    • Customer lifetime value (CLV) and average revenue per customer.
  • Innovation and Creativity:
    • Percentage increase in revenue from new strategies & campaigns introduced by Marketing Manager.
  • Brand Performance:
    • Improvement in brand perception or brand equity metrics (e.g., brand awareness, brand loyalty, Net Promoter Score).
    • Growth in market share or market penetration attributed to strategic brand initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Increase in cross-departmental collaboration and coordination metrics (e.g., interdepartmental project participation, knowledge sharing).
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Adoption and utilization of data-driven insights in decision-making processes.
    • Improvement in key performance indicators (KPIs) influenced by data-driven strategies.

 

You’ll Need to Have:

  • +4 years experience in a Marketing Manager or equivalent role
  • Marketing experience preferably in the luxury sector
  • Proven success in planning and delivering campaigns
  • Previous experience managing a marketing team
  • Creative project management experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Shopify and Klaviyo
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics
  • Strong understanding of Meta and Google Paid Advertising
  • Proactive and insightful analytical and problem-solving Skills
  • Commercially minded with good business acumen
  • Thrive in a fast paced on-time deliverable environment
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Qualifications: A degree is desirable but not essential
