'Daniel and I made the unusual choice to get married on Easter Sunday. Red was the colour and there were splashes throughout, as well as the Easter theme. Shown by Easter Eggs as favours, and chocolate eggs all around.'
Daniel and Rachel chose Hitchin Priory, Hitchin, Hertfordshire for the venue. Rachel was wearing a beautiful dress from Romantica of Devon.
Their cake was provided by the very talented Emma at Box of Cakes in Hertfordshire. 'We met Emma at one of the first wedding fairs we attended and it was exactly what we wanted, simple but stunning.'
Flowers on the wedding were from a talented local florist in Bedfordshire who provided the bouquet, centre pieces, buttonholes for the groom party and all of the guests were given a buttonhole on arrival.
Rachel was wearing Charlotte Mills shoes Andrea Silver with red heart-shaped shoe clips.
'I found a pair of shoes I wanted on Pinterest only to discover I could not buy them anywhere. I was devastated and nothing compared. Until I was reading a wedding magazine that had a section on red wedding ideas. In there was a pair of Charlotte Mills Shoes and I fell in love with the poem on the bottom and the sixpence inside. I found the website and was delighted to find a pair with a red heart. I found the perfect pair of shoes, which was everything I wanted and more.'
'I was so excited about my shoes and kept them as a surprise from all of my bridesmaids. I took them to the shop when I tried on my dress and to the final fitting. Everyone I showed loved them and on the day they were the perfect finishing touch.'
The photos are thanks to Rachel's amazing photographer Nicki at Timeless Photography.
Such a wonderful wedding Rachel, congratulations!
