Charlotte Mills unveils new bridal shoe collection inspired by real brides and the rise of “something blue” for 2026 weddings

PRESS RELEASE

British bridal footwear brand Charlotte Mills announces the launch of its latest bridal shoe collection, designed in collaboration with real brides and created in response to one of the most influential wedding trends emerging for 2026: the rise of blue across modern weddings.

Once reserved as a subtle tradition, something blue has evolved into a defining aesthetic - particularly across bridesmaid dresses and coordinated bridal party styling, where soft powder blues, cornflower tones and deeper sapphire hues are dominating 2026 trend forecasts. Reflecting this shift, Charlotte Mills has introduced two elegant blue satin shoe styles into the new collection, offering brides a meaningful yet fashion-forward way to embrace the tradition.

The blue designs also remain true to the brand’s core values - romantic, timeless, and designed to be treasured long after the wedding day.

Designed with brides, not just for them

This collection was shaped directly by Charlotte Mills’ bride community, following an exclusive in-person focus group hosted in Manchester, where brides were invited to preview early concepts, prototypes and design directions.

Unlike traditional product development, attendees were given the opportunity to actively vote on which styles progressed into the final collection - and which did not. This real-time feedback influenced both the aesthetic and structure of the range, leading to clear shifts in demand.

As a result, the final collection includes:

  • More mid heels, designed for comfort from aisle to dancefloor

  • More platforms, offering stability without compromising elegance

  • More pointed-toe silhouettes, reflecting a growing preference for refined, fashion-led bridal footwear

This collaborative approach ensured the collection reflects how modern brides actually want to look and feel on their wedding day.

A collection that honours tradition, detail and craftsmanship

Every pair of Charlotte Mills shoes is designed to carry meaning beyond the wedding itself. Each style features the brand’s signature embossed sole, alongside a carefully considered set of bridal details woven into every design:
something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue - and a silver sixpence in her shoe, included with every pair.

Founder and designer Charlotte Mills explains:

“This new shoe collection feels incredibly special to me. It brings together details from my very first collection in 2014 - reimagined and elevated for today. I wanted this range to feel like a true reflection of how the brand has grown, with a stronger focus on craftsmanship, hand-beaded fabrics, beautiful lace, and refined finishing touches.

I’ve created brand-favourite styles across a variety of heel heights, from flats and mid heels to high heels - so there’s something for every bride and every part of her day. Every design has been created with real brides in mind, shaped by the feedback you’ve shared with me over the years. Alongside signature bows and the return of our much-loved something blue styles, this collection feels like a celebration of where we started and where we’re going next.”

The collection blends nostalgic design cues with modern craftsmanship, featuring hand-beaded fabrics, delicate lace and elevated finishes - all designed to be worn, photographed and cherished.

What’s next for Charlotte Mills

The shoe launch marks the beginning of a wider product rollout for 2026. The brand will unveil its new dress collection on 12th February 2026, followed later in the year by a curated range of veils, bags and bridal accessories, allowing brides to complete their entire wedding look with Charlotte Mills.
