Who doesn’t love some bride wisdom! We asked our brides for their best advice when it comes to all things Hen partys and here’s a collection of the best advice we could find.
1.Don’t sweat the small stuff
We know it can be hard to let go of control when it comes to plans surrounding your big day but if your hen party is a surprise then make sure to stay open minded! Your friends know you well enough to know what you will enjoy.
2.Let your friends handle it
Delegate tasks to your bride squad and let your maid of honor and bridesmaids handle the planning while you focus on enjoying yourself. Allow yourself to relax and soak in the love with your closest friends.
3.Choose an outfit you feel comfortable in
Wear something you know you will feel comfortable and confident in, take it from our brides if you don't feel yourself you won’t enjoy yourself! Maybe even pack a backup outfit just in case. And don’t forget the accessories, they are the best part!
4.Celebrate your way
Remember, it’s your hen party, so don’t feel pressured to do something just because it’s traditional. Tailor the celebration to your personality and style. Express your wish list If there’s something you’d love to do don’t hesitate to suggest it.
5.Rest up in the lead up (and in the aftermath!)
You will thank yourself later, trust us! Schedule some downtime before and after the hen party, you want to feel your best and take it all in!
6.Capture the moment
Even if this means tasking one bridesmaid with picture taking, to make sure all the amazing memories are captured for you so you can stay present without worrying about documenting every detail. (PS. If you are wearing a Charlotte Mills Hen dress make sure to tag us in the pictures!)
7.Give your hen’s date options
We know how hard getting all your girls in one place can be! Our brides advise picking three dates you are free before you ask anyone. This way you are providing three options which you know you can attend!
8.Make a Hen do’s and Hen don’t list
If you want a surprise hen party make your non-negotiables clear!
