Charlotte Mills Brides - Abigail & Martin

Charlotte Mills Brides - Abigail & Martin

Please meet our beautiful Bride Abigail, who got married in our gorgeous model Belle Blue!
Abigail and her husband Martin got married in the Christchurch Harbour Hotel in Dorset. Art Deco style rooms, looking out onto a private terrace, lush green lawn and idyllic views of Mudeford Quay and beyond made a perfect wedding venue. As Abigail said 'I wanted something classic, but with a modern twist for the wedding theme'. She decided for dove grey as her neutral palette - the bridesmaid dresses, groomsmen ties, chair sashes, ring cushion and invitations were all dove grey; accented by a splash of bright orange. Jules The Florist in Christchurch helped her choose some beautiful flowers, including orange ranunculus, eucalyptus and an interesting bloom which Abigail called 'the brains' flower! She also included some personal touches to make that day unique. 'I love to sew, so all the table card holders were wooden bobbins wrapped in grey spotted ribbon. Table cards were kindly made for us by Tom Meek, a very talented heraldic artist who painted some beautiful calligraphy onto handmade card. The tables were named after places Abigail and Martin have been on holiday, and they had a map (in colours of grey and orange) which Martin made into the seating plan.

Abigail fell in love with the Atelier Pronovias Ianira dress. It had a bateau neckline, cinched waist with beaded belt detail and an a-line skirt which just oozed into a gorgeous, long train.  She accessorised with a jewelled headband and a single layer tulle cathedral length veil from Sassi Holford.
And this is what Abigail says about Charlotte Mills shoes:
'When it came to choosing my shoes, I had seen Charlotte Mills bridal featured in a magazine and I was instantly enamoured with the poem of the bottom of the shoe and the silver sixpence in each pair. Not to mention that all the styles were absolutely gorgeous. I was instantly attracted to the electric blue pair, with little mesh hearts all over them. The heel was just the right height and they were also very comfortable, I could imagine wearing them all day. I also loved the fact that a little blue peep might pop out from the bottom of my dress as I walked. Little unexpected bursts of colour were quickly becoming the theme for the day! Aside from my dress, they were the thing I was most excited to wear on my wedding day. My Chief Bridesmaid Heidi hadn't seen the shoes until the day; as you can see from the photo, I think she liked them!'
'My shoes didn't disappoint - they looked great and everyone loved them! The best part was that I could wear them again as they don't look too 'bridey', they just look like a gorgeous pair of shoes. I was able to walk proudly all day and strut my stuff on the dance floor at night, with the help of We Perform disco who blared out brilliant tunes and Viva Las Vegas Casino who entertained our guests with blackjack and roulette!'

'All in all, my wedding day was everything I had dreamt of and more. I am a firm believer in 'good things happen when you wear the right shoes'. Well my shoes were perfect, because all the best things happened that day.'
Oh, we are thrilled Abigail! Your wedding looked absolutely amazing!
