'Our  colour theme for our wedding was Spring colours with the main colours as purple (my favourite colour) and blue (Alex's favourite colour).' 

Helen and Alex got married on Saturday 2nd April 2016 at St Hugh of Lincoln RC Church, Stretford and Mitton Hall, Clitheroe. 

'We had a sweet theme as we first met 9 years ago working at Woolworths in our first part time jobs! We decided we would have a pick and mix theme and our table plan and favours were centred around this! This worked perfectly as I am known for having a sweet tooth!'

They were married at St Hugh of Lincoln Church in Stretford which is Helen's
family church, she was christened there and went to primary school there. The church has a very special place in her heart.

The wedding reception was held at Mitton Hall, Whalley, Lancashire, because Helen and Alex fell in love with the countryside and beautiful county house!

Their florist was Jane and her amazing team from Flower Design, Lytham
St Anne's. 'I was told Jane was the flower queen and she lived up to our expectations and made our venue look absolutely incredible with beautiful pastel flowers!'

The dress was an Eternity Gown from The White Gallery in Ramsbottom. 'After dragging my poor Mum and  five bridesmaids round numerous shops I finally found the dress of my dreams!' This was capped sleeves, princess style ball gown with a lace top.

And finally, here's what Helen said about our beautiful shoes: 'I had always dreamed of blue suede shoes! Alex is a big city fan and he was always going to have a pale blue tie! I wanted my shoes and Alex to be my something blue and when I saw your shoes on Instagram, I immediately fell in love!'

'What made the shoes even more special was that my Mum had dug out my Grandmas wedding shoes and she had also had suede shoes for her wedding day nearly 60 years ago!'

Alex bought Helen her shoes as a Christmas present a couple of months before the wedding as he knew she adored them and she was so excited towear them on the day!

Aww, we think the wedding was absolutely beautiful! Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Wardle!
