Let's meet Kathy from Waxflower Bridal! Situated on a quaint cobbled street in Chepstow, South Wales, Waxflower Bridal is a fun and relaxed haven for women to browse the very best of luxury British Bridalwear.
What made you decide to open your own boutique?
It sounds so cliche but I always had a dream of opening my very own luxury bridal boutique as I have worked in the industry since I was 18 years old and have loved it! When I had my daughter, Hattie, it just felt like the right time in my life to do it and go for it and Waxflower Bridal was born.
What designers do you stock?
I stock the most amazing luxury bridal designers who are all completely different from one another, as I like giving my gorgeous bride's choice. I stock Suzanne Neville, Halfpenny London, Bowen Dryden, Jenny Packham, House of Ollichon and La Poesie.
Your top tip for a bride to be choosing her wedding dress?
My top tip for a bride is to be open minded when coming in for an appointment as most of the time, my bride's fall in love with a dress /bridal jumpsuit/ bridal separates that they never thought, in a million years that they would go for.
Top tip for couples planning their big day?
Again, sounds so cliche but plan a wedding that you both want and don't worry about pleasing other people. You have to remember it is YOUR wedding and YOUR special day. You do you!
Your favourite pair of CM shoes?
Oh this is a tricky one to answer as I love so many of Charlotte Mills designs, but If I had to pick one design, I would have to say the 'Indi Pearl' shoes as I'm such a big fan of those polka-dot tulle bows and I love the chunky heel.
Your favourite dress in your boutique?
Again, this is a really hard question to answer as I select all of my dresses because I love their design, fabric and cut. I couldn't sell a wedding dress that I didn't love. Can I just say all of them!?Ha!
