About Us - Old
Wedding shoe designer, Charlotte, graduated from the prestigious Cordwainers (part of London college of Fashion) and along with its Alumni - the likes of Jimmy Choo, Patrick Cox and Sophia Webster - she followed her dreams and created her own brand in 2014 when she launched her first collection.
The idea for Charlotte Mills Bridal was born when Charlotte designed a bridal footwear collection for her final degree show and at this point, made it her long term goal to create her own luxury footwear brand. After gaining several year’s experience designing footwear for some of the UK’s best known high street brands, she poured everything she had into realising her dream.
Since then, she has showcased at London Fashion week, had her shoes worn by many different celebrities and been featured in some of the best magazine publications in the world. Her business has gone from strength to strength, making her one of the market leaders in the industry.
Charlotte’s most important goal is to create shoes that stand out from the crowd, are romantic and fun, all whilst being comfortable enough to last the day. Every style is hand made in Spain using the best materials and craftsmanship - our factory has been making shoes for over 50 years, which is evident in the attention to detail and quality. Each pair features Charlotte’s special signature details - they are hand finished with an original silver sixpence embedded in the sock of every pair and the luxurious leather soles are delicately embossed with the phrase:
“Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something Blue and a silver sixpence in her shoe”
A pair of Charlotte Mills shoes has everything covered - the “Something old” is the silver Sixpence, the “Something new” is your shoes, “Something Borrowed is an envelope we provide which can be sent back to us with a picture of you in your shoes, and your “Something blue” is the blue detailing in the in-sock.
Charlotte hopes that each and every Bride falls in love with their wedding shoes and will treasure them forever as a keepsake of their special day.
